Children's Music Hall of Fame

Music Web Site Helps Counteract Negatives of

No Child Left Behind

Bill Shontz, King of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic and one half of the internationally acclaimed duo RosenShontz, is an innovator in the children’s music world. His newest creation is a web site, the Children’s Music Hall of Fame. Its mission? ...to connect children, families and educators with music from around the world. It combines technology with a wonderful body of material from artists who are dedicated to writing, performing and recording music for children and families. The goal? To help to lessen the negative effects that the “No Child Left Behind” program has on the music and arts programs.

The site is child-safe and adult friendly. All music, stories and games are checked for appropriateness, production quality and musicality. You’ll find thousands of recordings for kids of all ages, from pre-birth to a hundred and two, in practically any genre imaginable.

Sure, www.Childrensmusichalloffame.com has downloads, but it also has unique features. “Custom Designed CDs” for example. Say Grandma wants to create a birthday present for Johnny. She searches, listens to, and selects songs Johnny would like. She puts them in her shopping cart, writes her wish, “To Johnny on your 5th birthday, love, Grandma”, places her order and Johnny receives his custom designed CD in the mail complete with Grandma’s wish!

Another unique feature is the “Limited Edition CD”. Schools are always looking for new ways of raising money. Now they can order a “Limited Edition CD” and select songs that enhance their theme for the year. They submit artwork, wording and pictures. Children’s Music Hall of Fame creates the “one of a kind” CD in any quantity. Everyone will remember what they learned in school this year for many years to come.

Teacher’s Budget accounts and Children’s Allowance accounts are also available.

The Children’s Music Education Newsletter, CHIME NEWS.com, is a sister site with articles, links, reviews, article and other resources, to help make classrooms and homes happier and healthier.

In spite of the evidence that music as part of curriculum IMPROVES test scores (got to CHIMENEWS.com to read about the studies), many schools believe music is a frill. Due to this misconception and mounting budgetary pressures, funding has been cut or even eliminated in many schools. CMHOF provides the vehicle and tools to bring high quality educational music into schools and homes – check it out today!
